Younger You – an 8-week intensive programme
Functional nutrition proactively supports healthspan by promoting lifestyle-based therapeutic approaches and personalized whole-body health and wellness. In this regard, when I talk about biological age, I am referring to the physiological state of an individual’s body, reflecting the cumulative impact of lifestyle, genetics, and environmental factors on aging processes. Unlike chronological age, which remains constant, biological age can vary significantly among individuals of the same age group and can significantly impact healthspan.
In the realm of functional medicine, Dr. Kara Fitzgerald stands out as a pioneering figure whose work has significantly influenced our understanding of aging and chronic disease management. Her research has shed light on the intricate mechanisms of aging, and her innovative Younger You programme offers practical strategies for rejuvenating health at the cellular level.
Dr Fitzgerald has published two studies using her Younger You program to reverse biological age. The priority for the regimen was to include foods rich in EPINUTRIENTS- methyl donors, and methylation adaptogens. Although small sample sizes, studies showed a 3.23 and 4.50 reduction in age respectively. This is incredible in such a short space of time. Think about how happy you are when your Discovery age comes back as less than your chronological age. This program actually does this on a cellular level.

There are a few ways to assess biological age. As part of the program I will be using the PhenoAge calculator which requires a handful of blood tests. But there are much more detailed age assessments like TruAge which I also offer on request.
